In partnership with the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association, Norfolk County Council, and Norfolk Wildlife Trust, join us for the return of the Norfolk Landscapes Conference & Exhibition for 2026, an annual event exploring land use change, and how we can make nature and farming work together.
Event Overview
Land and coastal management in Britain is becoming ever more challenging and complex. Climate change is altering traditional weather patterns, creating unpredictable growing seasons, and increasing the likelihood of floods and droughts. Withdrawing government support and increased need for ‘blended’ finance is causing farming business models to also change. Farmers and land owners must consider how to make the environment work them within a conventional farming system.
How does one make sense of this everchanging sector, ensure business resilience, and work together to ensure Norfolk’s land and coastal environments thrive?
Held at the Royal Norfolk Showground on Tuesday 3rd November, this event is a must-attend for land owners, farmers, nature enthusiasts, policy makers, the construction sector, planning departments, green finance organisations, and anyone interested in how we can improve land use in Norfolk, and across England. Awards
The awards ceremony at the Norfolk Landscapes Conference & Exhibition celebrates Norfolk’s farming community who are doing their bit for nature.
The Ian MacNicol Memorial Trophy, which is named after beloved Norfolk farmer, Ian MacNicol, in recognition of his and the Stody Estate’s environmental work. The award is presented to the Norfolk farm we feel is integrating conservation into the commercial farming system, understands and responds to current conversation issues, and is actively looking into protecting and commercialising natural capital.
The Richard Waddingham Pond Award, created in memory of Richard Waddingham of Manor Farm, Briston, whose lifelong commitment to pond management demonstrated how water-rich features in farmland can support vibrant wildlife even amidst intensive agriculture, the award honours his legacy and helps inspire others to follow his example.
